The Harbinger Cafe & Bakery
CHARLESTON, SC - The Harbinger Cafe & Bakery is an exquisitely done coffee shop. They have executed the country-chic aesthetic perfectly. The mugs are cozy, the china plates are delicate. Battered wooden tables against built-in benches on wood-paneled walls. Hanging plants in old strainers perfectly compliment the washed pink walls across from me. It’s bright, in a warm way. The pastry cases are drool-worthy, and so is the merchandise (the stickers show cartoon lips biting into a cookie; the epitome of what I want my life to look like). I’m completely obsessed - and I haven’t even mentioned that my sandwich and mocha were exactly what I needed before bustling off to the airport.
I didn’t have a chance to explore the neighborhood, but it was quick Uber from downtown Charleston, and definitely worth going out of my way for!
