James Coffee Co.

SAN DIEGO, CA - James Coffee Co. has three locations sprinkled around San Diego (plus another up in Escondido). I’ve had the chance to visit the Little Italy location and Bankers Hill, and they were both delicious finds! In Little Italy, you’ll find yourself in on a street of businesses teeming with greenery, life, and absolute attention to detail. Walking the entire street is a pleasure, and then arriving at James Coffee Co. is a pleasure in itself! Outside, there’s a large mural of their owl logo (see the pic below 🙃). Inside, the Little Italy location is spacious, and tucked in a warehouse-type building that houses other small businesses and artists, as well. I’m all about building sustainable practices into my lifestyle, so I was really excited to learn that they don’t give out disposable cups. If you don’t have your own cup, they serve your drink in a reusable mason jar, which you can either return to get your deposit back, or carry on your merry way for future uses!

Bankers Hill felt more like a suburban neighborhood to me, but that’s not to say that it wasn’t a great visit!! This shop is also neighbors with quaint small businesses, and offers their own merchandise of coffee beans and other swag. The aesthetic of black and white (with a touch of orange), cleanliness, and a welcoming atmosphere was absolutely consistent across both as well.

I can’t wait to check out their other locations next time I find myself in San Diego!

hot or iced, they do not serve a side of waste with their coffee! And for this, I will be thrilled to return every chance I get. Hats off to you, James Coffee Co.

you won’t catch me drinking iced coffee often, but this was deeeelicious! Would recommend🤩
