what’s this all about?
Hi! Welcome to the story of three ladies taking on the world! Well… by three ladies, I mean a human (me, of course), my pup, and my bus. My name is Jesi, my pup is Anya, and the bus? Her name is Pluvio.
Anya joined my life at the beginning of the pandemic. She’s a cocker spaniel/toy poodle mix, also known as a cockapoo. She’s snuggly, excitable, and pretty freakin cute if you ask me. She’s named after Princess Anastasia, who was always my favorite princess (10/10 would recommend to watch if you haven’t).
gotcha day!
this is the day Anya came home, April 3, 2020. She was 2 pounds and so nervous of everything, but we were best friends from the start. 💜
Pluvio then joined our lives post-lockdown, the summer of 2021. Her name comes from the word Pluviophile, meaning lover of rain or someone who finds peace in the rain (me!). She’s a converted Chevy 3500 Express, and the story of how she came to be ours is in our next posts, starting with “how it all began… bus life, that is.”
As for me? That’s a long story, but I’m described by my friends as a free-spirit. I don’t like to take anything too seriously these days, but I’m also still pretty driven and independent. I’ve got two degrees in mechanical engineering, I love to teach and mentor others, and I also really like to write (hence: the birth of this blog). I love-love-love to explore the world through coffee, which is where the “cup” part of the name comes from (check out the coffee page for more info!)
I’ve always loved to travel, but in 2021 I decided to make it a way of life. This website will be a place to where I can share my story, one cup of coffee at a time, with whoever may want to read about it. I have an instagram and a tik-tok (both @pup.cup.and.a.bus), just like many others. However, I really connect with story-telling through written word, so I decided it was time to add a blog to the mix.
Thanks for checking out our story as we travel the world one friend, one stop, and one sip at a time.
Love ya a latte,
Jesi & Anya

Anya is the ultimate adventure pup (I said it - small dogs are good for adventures, too!!)
